Workshop: Sustainable Impressions

Discover the unexpected beauty of "upcycled" art in this innovative, eco-friendly printmaking session! You will learn how to transform everyday household waste into professional-grade printing plates by etching designs into recycled Tetra Pak containers. By utilizing the unique silver lining of these cartons, you’ll master the "intaglio" process—scratching, inking, and wiping the surface to reveal intricate, high-contrast imagery.

This hands-on workshop provides a fascinating introduction to sustainable artistry for all skill levels. You will experiment with various etching tools to create depth and texture, then move to the inking and paper transfer stage to see your vision come to life. Because these durable plates allow for multiple prints, you can create a series of unique transfers to keep or share. Come explore the creative potential of reclaimed materials, reduce your environmental footprint, and leave with a collection of original, handcrafted prints!
