We begin by breaking down the anatomy of various vessels, learning to identify key structural elements that give each boat its unique character. You will explore perspective and buoyancy, ensuring your sketches sit naturally in the water rather than on top of it.

Through guided demonstrations, we will cover essential watercolour skills including wet-on-wet reflections, masking for crisp highlights, and layering atmospheric washes to create depth.
