Come try and learn this unique painting style; you will complete 2 paintings under the expert guidance of Guest Instructor: Valerie Kent. She teaches all over Ontario and just recently did a 5 day painting class at Loyalist College.
All supplies are included in the registration fee.
What is Gouache?
Pronounced "gwash, it is a kissing cousin of watercolour with properties that watercolour alone does not have, such as being opaque and matte.
Artists find that gouache bridges the gap between different painting mediums and styles. It offers a unique combination of artistic properties:
It dries to a completely matte, opaque finish with the intense, vibrant pigmentation of acrylics. It boasts a buttery, velvety texture reminiscent of traditional oil paints.
