After a long career in Industrial Maintenance and Facilities Management I finally had the time to pursue some sort of artistic endeavor. Initially trying wood carving, I found that I cut myself too many times so I looked for something else to try. Linocut prints caught my eye.
Linoleum was invented mid-1800’s. At that time, its main use was that of a floor material however, by the 1890’s artists had started to use it as an artistic medium. It has been embraced by prominent artists like Picasso and Matisse.
My wife and I are long time resident of the Quinte area, living in Trenton since 1962 then Brighton since 2000. I have an interest in all forms of Canadian art.
